Atletico Mineiro player Iván Román was sent off for aggression in a friendly against Portugal. The incident occurred in the 44th minute of the first half of the match played at the Estádio do Jamor. After a dispute on the left side of the Portuguese attack, players from both teams got involved in a scuffle. In the midst of the pushing and shoving between the players, Rafael Leão got angry and punched Iván Román, who fell to the ground. The referee stopped the game and gave both players red cards. Rafael Leão was sent off for aggression, while Román also received a red card for his participation in the confusion that preceded the punch. With the expulsions, Portugal and Chile continued the game with ten players from each side. The first half ended 0-0.
